Piggie Update

I found out the little porkers are 8 weeks old. CUTE.

These are from last year's bulbs - next year, I'm putting in many, many more.  Such lovely joy to me.

Before they were bacon . . .

The piglets at the FFA farm near my house -- where I like to walk, and where there are also chickens, ducks, goats and cows being raised by kids, not to mention they have a garden and greenhouse where next weekend we will be buying vegetable plants for our garden. A very fun and relaxing place.

Almost the Rowboat

Last Sunday, we attended a lovely party and reading celebrating the publication of our friend Kathleen McClung's ALMOST THE ROWBOAT. Kathleen's an accomplished poet, and she writes - and reads - beautifully. Congratulations, and may she be recognized by many more people in coming years!
